Twenty days the big boy has been with me. It’s hard to believe!
Yesterday while I was at work my friend Colleen stayed at my house and rested while she waited to go to class and the dogs were in heaven. All day she sat with them and they laid with her and enjoyed “people” time. They are good dogs!
This morning we went to the dog park because I had to work a long day today and thought they would benefit from some time running this morning. They ran and ran and ran and for the first morning in a week, we didn’t get rained on.
The rest of the day has been me sitting at work doing nothing. Fun….

I’m having a problem sharing Ben’s pics from Sunday. They were emailed to me as a .bmp file and I can’t seem to change their format. I’ll keep working on it.
Meanwhile, last night, Tuesday , a good friend of mine, Colleen, came down to Madison and we went out on the town for a while… well… a good long while, like 8 hours! We had dinner at La Hacienda and then had a drink at some of my favorite bars with some other friends; Mike, Chris, Matt, Dawg, oh yeah… and Jeff. Started at Paul’s Club (Spotted cow.. love that tree), The Irish Pub (Captain and Coke), Mondays (Captain and Coke…sooooo strong… WOW!), Opus (Cherry Chocolate Ale) and then the Argus (Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat). I look forward to going back to the Opus and trying their Pumpkin Pie Martini!!! After bar eating was at Perkin’s. I kind of wanted gyros from the Parthenon, but, couldn’t convince everyone to walk that far in the rain with me!
This morning I was up early to get the dogs out for a walk before I had to go to work. It was raining, freezing rain… ewwww… so the kids pottied quickly! Yippee!!!
I keep forgetting to mention Monday!
Monday, my friend Dawg and I turned in a proposal at work. It was the greatest thing I have ever done! I still can’t believe how professional and classy it was! My two main bosses were very impressed and that meant so much to me. I’m so happy that Dawg pushed me to do this. I would have quit on this sooo long ago, but, he kept the energy going until we got it done.
I look forward to seeing what happens now. If the proposal goes through it would change our image here at work to a large degree, especially with those outside of the company. That would be great! I guess we need to focus on funding now.
Also… Happy Birthday Marine Corps… another thing I forgot on Monday.
AND (from yesterday)… Happy Veterans Day to all who have served. Thank you. You all are heroes in my eyes!!!!
