I had never heard this song until maybe three years ago. Its one of those ballads that once you hear it you will never, ever forget it.

Found another version of the song I love. Still like the Norwegian quartet performance best but this one is darn good.

Ben has been with me for thirty days now. It seems so long yet such a short time too. So much has happened in thirty days, yet… ya.. you know it… so much has remained the same!
Still no pics. Sorry guys. I’m lazy!
I came across this page http://alphainventions.com/ because yesterday it brought 20 viewers my way. Its a website that simply scrolls through different blogs. It was very fun to watch! i recommend it highly!
It’s Sunday. Football day. Haven’t watched any myself, which is OK. I miss watching football on the weekends, but for me it’s a family thing. One thing my family did as a family was hunt and watch football. i still remember my mom hitting her head on the overhead light in the house in the woods. The Packers of course had scored a touchdown. Celebration was in order.
We watched every game, every Sunday. I know more about the rules of football than probably any other commercial, professional sport. I LOVE football, but I feel so old school when I watch it now because I no longer know any of the players and whats up with these new rules?? Everything looks different, more hip, more flashy. It was bound to happen I suppose.
Turkey day is coming up fast. I’m still happy to be going to see my family, if for no other reason than that I get to drive my car all the way down there!!! I really like my Pontiac. Never met a Pontiac I don’t like though, so…. but last night, after remembering that I had the manual option with my car, I used it to drive home. It was AWESOME! I squawked those tires for a full block! Next time I have to remember to take the traction control off! Don’t worry, I was very careful and made sure there weren’t any cops around!
This morning i got up and went grocery shopping! I even used COUPONS!! I saved like $8 and spent about $75. This budget thing is awesome! At this rate I’ll be able to afford all the wonderful toys I want! I went home and made a batch of cheesy hashbrowns. I’ve had 3 huge helpings so far. Man, I love those things.
I first had cheesy hashbrowns when I cooked out at the Woodside Ranch in Mauston, Wisconsin. It was a staple and we had it at least once every week and I don’t think I could ever eat enough of these hashbrowns.
- 2lb. Hashbrows, thawed,
- 10.75 oz can of cream of chicken soup
- 8oz. sour cream
- 2 c. cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Mix it all together and put in a casserole dish and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
Absolutely spectacular!

OK, promise this will be the last music post today. I just can’t help it. I love YouTube and I love music and the combination is intoxicating. I find that music has so much feeling to it. If I could write music I would be so happy!
Last night I came across the second video in this post. It took my breath away! Of course it said it was from Shrek, so I found the clip of the movie that it was from, performed by a different artist, Rufus Wainwright.
The original song is by Leonard Cohen. The artists in the second video are Kurt Nilsen, Espen Lind, Askil Holm og, and Alejandro Fuentes, reportedly all Norwegian singers.
Shrek – Hallelujah
My favorite version.

So, if you wonder why I got hooked on Britain’s Got Talent, this was the performance that hooked me. Paul Potts went on to win the 2007 competition.

Only my opinion, but I think if this performance had been as strong as either of their other two performances that are below they would have won it!

I like this performance almost as much as their initial performance. Suleman is an AMAZING Michael Jackson-type dancer.
